Don’t shrink to survive. Expand to lead.
The Lantern Bearer!
Long ago, a village stood at the edge of a dark forest. No one dared to enter, because the path was unmarked and the shadows seemed endless. For years, the villagers told stories of what might be inside, but no one was brave enough to see for themselves.
One day, a young traveler lit a lantern and stepped into the forest. The villagers gasped what if he failed? what if he got lost? Yet, the traveler did not shrink back. With each step, his lantern lit a little more of the path. Soon, others began to follow. They realized the forest was not as frightening as it seemed; it only needed someone to go first.
The traveler’s courage did not just open a path for himself it opened a way for the entire village. From that day, the villagers remembered: survival is staying at the edge, but leadership is daring to walk forward and light the way.
Courage is more than a personal choice; it’s a ripple that extends beyond you. Every time you dare to go first, you break barriers and create new possibilities for others. Leadership is not about waiting for perfect conditions but about stepping forward despite uncertainty, knowing your action will light the way. Shrinking may help you survive, but it limits your potential and the potential of those who look to you for inspiration. By expanding into courage, you don’t just lead your own life forward, you empower countless others to rise, grow, and lead with you.
Lesson:
a) Your courage is a lantern. It doesn’t just illuminate your journey it gives others the confidence to rise and follow. Don’t shrink to survive. Expand to lead.
b) Courage creates pathways. When you dare to go first, you don’t just open doors for yourself, you unlock opportunities for others who follow.
c) Leadership begins with risk – True leadership often means stepping forward before the way is clear, trusting that your action will light the path.
d) Your growth inspires others – Every time you expand beyond fear, you give others permission to rise and do the same.
e) Shrinking is survival, expanding is leadership – Playing small may keep you safe, but only growth and boldness allow you to lead and make impact.
f) Impact multiplies through courage – Your bravery has a ripple effect, influencing not just your journey but the future of those around you.
