Fauza Foundation is committed to empowering women and breaking the cycle of poverty in communities, both physically and mentally, through its core action pillars. The foundation champions women supporting women by providing educational support, including tuition fees and stationery, to ensure access to learning opportunities. It also addresses periodic Menstruation by offering Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) products, ensuring that menstruation does not hinder girls' and women's progress. Economic empowerment is another key focus, with initiatives such as tailoring, beekeeping, and support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to create sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, Fauza Foundation provides mentorship for mothers, offering financial, emotional, psychological, and mental support to help them navigate life’s challenges and achieve stability. Through these initiatives, the foundation fosters self-sufficiency, dignity, and a brighter future for women and their communities.

My Story

This is my story...

Fauza Beltz

The struggles of rural Kenyan girls continue to make headlines—stories of shattered dreams, interrupted education, and lost potential. Many are unable to complete school, limiting their ability to contribute to their communities. These stories are not just statistics; they are lived realities, and they resonate deeply with me.

Growing up in a dysfunctional home, moving between different guardians, and facing the harsh realities of poverty, I know firsthand what it means to feel powerless. I remember walking barefoot for over an hour to school, sitting in a muddy, rain-soaked classroom, and going to bed hungry. I often wondered how different my life could have been if opportunities like those Fauza Foundation envisions had been available to me.

My own mother’s story, too, is one of silent struggles—denied an education and forced to endure a life of hardship. Her experiences, combined with mine, have left me with questions that, for years, had no answers. But one realization changed everything: If I wanted change, it had to start with me.

That is why Fauza Foundation was born—to break the cycle of mental, emotional, and economic poverty that holds back girls, single mothers, and teenage mothers. Too many are trapped in these “poverty prisons,” unable to see a way out. Fauza Foundation seeks to provide them with opportunities that were once beyond my reach—education, skills, and hope for a brighter future.

But we cannot do this alone. We need partners who believe in change, who see potential where others see despair, and who are willing to invest in the future of these young girls and women. Your support—whether financial, material, or mentorship—can transform lives and rewrite destinies.

Join us in being the change we wish to see. Together, we can empower, uplift, and rewrite the narrative for the rural Kenyan girl.
